NATO doctors found that the former captives had suffered from broken ribs, a broken nose, chipped teeth, and head wounds as a result of their incarceration. NATO Air Strikes Effective5/7 - CNN - "In Kosovo, [Vice Admiral Ian] Garnett [Britain's Chief of Joint Operations] said more than 300 Yugoslav army vehicles -- including tanks, troop carriers and trucks -- have been destroyed, along with 50 percent of the army's ammunition supply; 70 percent of its fuel stocks; and 31 bridges used as supply lines. In addition, he said half of the military's communications facilities have been destroyed." Serb Violence Traumatizes Children5/6 - CNN - Aid officials are worried that Serb atrocities have traumatized scores of Kosovar children. At the neighboring village of Ribar i Vogel, the same paramilitaries allegedly killed 19 people, refugees told U.N. relief workers. They also said Serb forces surrounded the town of Sllovi on April 16, killing 15 people. One man, Hashim Reka, his face bandaged and caked with blood, said six members of his family were killed when Serbs told them to come out of their house, then opened fire." He feared she had been 'thrown away' by Serb police....`I never thought I would make it,' said Aslann Fazlin, who saw 30 men picked out of the column by Serb police, stripped down to their underpants and led away. One woman said she had been ordered to hand over all her jewelry and when she said she had none, was told they 'would take a jewel for themselves, my daughter.'....Ahmeti's daughter was injured by shrapnel as Serb police began blowing up his house as he packed. Serbs Use 700 Boys as Blood Bank4/21 - Knight Ridder - New evidence has come to light that Serb soldiers have used 700 young Kosovar boys as a blood bank for Serb troops. THE ACTUAL STORY Serb Soldiers Gang Rape Kosovars4/14 - Reuters - "Drita, speaking anonymously, told the BBC that she and seven women were separated from their families. She said the women were gang-raped by Serbian soldiers and four of them killed, including one woman who was seven months pregnant....Another woman from the same village told the BBC that the soldiers separated women from their families and then raped 10 of them by the side of the road. 'They said to the girls: 'You are beautiful. You are for me. We are not going to shoot you but we want your families to see what we are doing.' ' The woman said the soldiers then threw the girls to the ground and tore every part of their clothing with knives. An elderly man said soldiers forced him to watch as a family member was raped.....Reports of the existence of a 'rape camp' at Djakovica had already come to NATO's attention." Serbs Use Refugees as Human Shields4/13 - Reuters - Serb military forces in Kosovo are using ethnic Albanian refugees to march alongside tanks and other armored vehicles in an attempt to shield them from NATO air attacks, a top U.S. official said Monday.
